One Year of Industrious Joy
It's been exactly one year since Mark McEwan, our first Engineering Manager, joined the Worthwhile team. In that time he's done a brilliant job of aligning our engineers and ensuring client success in every way possible. We like to say that the opposite of micromanagement is Mark-romangement, if that gives you any idea of what working with him has been like. Thanks for being here, Mark!
Welcome Wilson, our new Client Advisor
Wilson Hunter has joined our team as our first Client Advisor. If you’re interested in doing business with Worthwhile, Wilson’s is probably the first face you’ll see. Coming to us after a long career of running his own business, we’re excited to see what this next chapter will bring!
4th Place? We’ll Definitely Take It
The Worthwhile Company has been honored by the recognition of the Best Companies Group for the Best Places to Work in South Carolina award for 2022. We received the award for 4th place in the small employer category, which is a remarkable achievement for everyone on our team. Thank you to all of our employees, partners, and supporters for helping us accomplish this goal!
Welcome Josh, our new Site Reliability Engineer
Josh Sherman is the newest part of our SRE team, and we’re so excited to have his expertise join our ranks. Josh is based out of Nebraska, which might make him the most midwesternest person at work. Josh’s experience with best practices in the site security industry make him a valuable addition to our small group of SREs and we can’t wait to see how he brings our clients’ projects to life.
Welcome Stephanie, our new Frontend Engineer
We’re honored to have Stephanie Cheney of Tulsa, OK join our team as our newest Frontend Engineer. Stephanie has made a break away from her previous career as a professional photographer, but is applying her abundant creative skills in her new role already. When asked, Stephanie said the thing she likes most about her new career is how mentally stimulating the work of a programmer is. Glad to have you, Stephanie!
20 years, and we are honored to have him. (Georg Zimmer)
It’s been the best 20 years we’ve known as a company because our Sr. Software Engineer Georg Zimmer has been here. Georg started at Worthwhile in 2002 and quickly made himself a key part of day-to-day operations with his technical knowledge and attention to detail. While he continues to be a diligent team leader and helpful engineer, the most valuable thing that Georg has been bringing to the table over the last two decades is his warm, caring personality.
Welcome Josh, our new Frontend Engineer
Josh Humphrey has joined our team as our newest Frontend Engineer, working in Development Operations. Josh is based out of Texas and has already begun working hard to improve the user experience for our clients’ software platforms. His keen intuition for how users will interact with a site or attempt to manipulate an outcome is a valuable asset to add to our Engineering team, and we’re glad to have him on board.
Welcome Elvin, our new Database Engineer
The newest Database Engineer on the Worthwhile block is Elvin Feng, based out of New York, NY. Elvin’s previous work experience promises a fresh perspective on data manipulation and, in particular, his previous work with Azure will ensure (ha) a strong outcome for all the projects he touches in the future.
